Community Involvement

We are committed to giving back to our community. Through volunteer work, board participation, and financial support of causes important to us and you, we are always looking for ways to enrich this wonderful community where we live and work. Follow us on Facebook to stay up-to-date on the community events we are supporting.

Akron Children's Hospital

The Akron Children's Hospital Foundation works to ensure that the hospital can continue to uphold its three promises: treat each other the way we'd want to be treated; treat each child as if he was our own; and turn no child away because of a family's inability to pay. Aikens Financial works closely with the foundation on multiple projects throughout the year. Check out the pictures below!

Akron Rotary Camp

The Akron Rotary Camp is a place where disabilities and limits do not hold kids and adults back from enjoying programs that develop their self-confidence, independence and social skills.  The goal of their programs is to increase campers' self-esteem, encourage them to try new leisure activities, become more physically active, experience the natural world, and develop stronger social skills. During our programs, campers can participate in traditional and classic camp activities such as swimming, kayaking, campfires, songs, crafts, games and more!

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.  To find more information about this amazing organization or how to donate please visit:

Stow-Munroe Falls Booster Club

As a graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School and former student-athlete, Brian enjoys giving back to his alma mater. The Booster Club supports all the student-athletes by providing enthusiasm and attendance at their activities, providing equipment and facilities as needed, and financially through awards and scholarships.

The University of Akron Finance Advisor Board

Advisory Board members provide expertise, advice, and guidance on academic programming either to the college as a whole or to individual departments, institutes, and centers.  Advisory Board members also interact with students as mentors and as guest speakers in classes and provide internship and job opportunities to our students.
